So! Some updates.
1) Talked to my English professor about why I've been missing so much class. I think it went well-I explained that I wasn't expecting to be treated differently and I wasn't expecting her to let me off the hook for missing the amount of class that I missed, but that there were circumstances I wanted her to be aware of. I'm so glad that the grammarpolice community exists. It's like my nitpickiness about grammar and punctuation, but magnified by six thousand and made into a community! And they know so much more than me :D Reading through it is like reading Strunk & White, only cooler because it's written by the internet.
